At this meeting, we will cover a comprehensive range of topics to better manage fire blight in apple orchards. The meeting’s speakers will include research and Extension specialists from Michigan State University, Cornell University, Oregon State University, University of California-Riverside, Washington State University, and the Julius Kuhn Institute in Germany. Topics will include novel approaches and strategies for blossom and shoot blight management, alternatives and pipeline disease management materials, information on fire blight resistance genes in apple and other Malus species, and current breeding efforts for fire blight resistance.

Meeting attendance will be limited to 100 people, and registration is offered on a first come-first serve basis. This meeting has been generously sponsored by the Michigan Apple Committee, Michigan Tree Fruit Commission, and the Michigan State Horticultural Society as well as by companies including AgroSource, Arysta, BASF, Certis, Gowan, NuFarm, Plant Food Systems, and Westbridge.
