James O’Sullivan was recently awarded the American-Australian Association Graduate Education Scholarship   to support his postdoctoral studies at Michigan State University and facilitate collaboration between American and Australian researchers.

Please welcome James O’Sullivan: post-doc researcher in Dr Alexandra Kravchenco’s lab. James joins us directly from his PhD program at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, where he examined how phosphorus acquisition and symbiotic N2 fixation is impacted by rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations.

James arrived in Michigan in March of 2022 for his first post-doc position, where he will learn how to use enzyme zymography, X-ray computed tomography and elemental mapping, to unravel the mechanism of improved soil C storage under cover cropping.

In December James is going back to La Trobe to participate in his hooding ceremony and see friends and family! Please welcome James.   To learn more see: James' faculty profile on the department website.
