Biography:

I grew up in the small town of Parma, Michigan, and consider fish, wildlife, and the outdoors broadly to be foundational in my upbringing. Naturally, this led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University, which I completed in the fall of 2023. During my time as an undergraduate student, I had the great fortune of working alongside Dr. Thomas Loch and his crew in the Michigan State University Aquatic Animal Health Lab, allowing me to discover and foster a fascination with fish and wildlife disease, particularly as it pertains to the health of fish stocks in the Great Lakes Basin. Furthering the health of Great Lakes fish stocks remains a passion of mine, and will be a focal point of my thesis research which will involve combatting pathogenic bacteria in an effort to enhance fish production efforts made by the Michigan DNR fish production section. In my free time I enjoy visiting new places, watching football, playing guitar, and playing with my dog.
