Background

Sinan, a Ph.D. and GISP-credentialed GIS Scientist, has cultivated a robust career focusing on earth sciences and environmental engineering, specializing in GIS and remote sensing applications. With a history of technical leadership positions including a Senior GIS Specialist at NOAA Ocean Exploration and Research Scientist at USDA Forest Service, Dr. Abood has demonstrated proficiency in spatial analysis, project management, and developing technology-based geographic solutions. His expertise extends across geospatial model development, natural resources monitoring, and the creation of riparian base maps, backed by a strong foundation in environmental and sustainability science, GIS application development, and programming. A constant learner and innovator, Sinan has an array of technical skills ranging from ArcGIS application ecosystem, ERDAS Imagine to programming languages including Python, underpinned by a solid academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University​."
