Early childhood education is much more than caring for the basic needs of children. When early childhood professionals need to be prepared to create appropriate, engaging and educational environments where they can support the growth, development and learning of all children. Michigan State University Extension offers a variety of learning experiences for early childhood professionals through online and face to face formats. Early childhood professionals can engage in training around topics like discipline, math, art, outdoor play, social emotional health and more. These trainings are approved in the MiRegistry system through the Michigan Department of Education and providers who are part of the MiRegistry system who attend trainings will get approved hours in the system.
