2026 Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp

ABOUT THE CAMP:
This two-day camp will teach youth to fish and protect our Great Lakes and connected waterways. Camp sessions will include casting, tackle crafting, knot tying, aquatic ecology, angler ethics, and more. 

All campers will receive a fully loaded tackle box, fishing rod and reel, snacks, and more.

DATES/TIMES:
Dates: July 20-21 at Haithco Park (Saginaw, MI)
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm

AGE:
Youth 8-13 as of Jan 1, 2026
Teen Camp Counselors 14-19 as of Jan 1, 2026

COST:

• $40 per youth. Scholarships are available. NO REFUNDS (unless camp is cancelled due to inclement weather or other circumstance).
• NO COST for Teen Counselors will help at Camp.
• Registration is not final or approved without payment. Please make sure payment is received to ensure your spot at camp. 

TEEN COUNSELORS:
Join us as a Teen Counselor at Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp, July 20–21, 2026, 9 AM–4 PM at Haitco Park in Saginaw!

Earn service hours, make friends, and enjoy the outdoors!

• Ages 14–19 (as of Jan 1)
• No fishing experience required
• Volunteer one or both days

What you’ll do:

• Help with casting & fishing
• Prep materials
• Assist campers
• Pass out snacks
• Knot tying & tackle making

CAMP REMINDERS:

• Campers should bring their own lunch to camp.
• Campers should also plan to bring a reusable water bottle.
• Wear sunscreen, hat, comfortable clothing.
• Most importantly, campers should plan to have fun!

PAYMENT:
Full payment for your registration ($40) is required before youth attend the program. Before completing the registration form, please have your payment information ready.

Registration fees MUST BE PAID in FULL prior to start of the event.
NO REFUNDS.

Payments can be made by any of the following options.  

• Credit Card—you pay the full registration fee using your credit card in the registration system.
• Check— If paying by check, please make check payable to Michigan State University. If you do not have a credit card and need to make payment by check please mail your check to:
