Cooking Matters for Parents is an Adults Only, hands-on cooking and nutrition program for parents or adults caring for children under age 18. Participants learn about preparing healthy meals, grocery shopping, and budgeting for food. Register by April 10th.
Topics include:
• USDA MyPlate
• Knife Skills
• Picky Eaters
• Food Safety
• Reducing Sodium
• Importance of breakfast
• Added Sugar
• Choosing whole grains
• Managing your resources
Each week, participants will receive take-home groceries, which they can use at home to practice a recipe they learned in class.
The program consists of six lessons, lasting two hours each. Participants must be able to attend all six lessons to register and will receive a certificate of completion upon graduation.
Participants that complete all graduation requirements will be able to select one of the following as a graduation gift. ***please note: exact model may vary depending on product availability at time of graduation.

5. Pizza Stone
