Dr. Luca Campisi is the Owner and Managing Director, Head of Toxicology and Food/Nutritional Toxicology Unit and Head of Regulatory and Food Science Unit of Flashtox SRL (LLC). He is also affiliated faculty with the University of Pisa, Italy (Toxicology and Food Toxicology) and the University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy (Food Supplements and Cosmetic/ Nutricosmetics Toxicology).

This seminar will provide a comprehensive summary regarding the adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination of micro and nanoplastics with particular regard to human health effects. An important focus will also be on food as a source of micro and nanoplastics, as well as relevant toxicological implications.
