Seminar Title: Food is Medicine: Lessons Learned from the Delta GREENS Initiative

Dr. Vanessa N. Robinson, DrPH, MPH is a nationally recognized health science scholar with expertise in the
nutrition science and maternal health fields. She has provided consultations with leadership of various research
institutes, including Harvard University, on effective ways to examine gaps in health care delivery infrastructure and apply solutions that align with resolving those gaps. She has put her scholarship into practice by serving as Co-Investigator of the NIH-funded Delta GREENS project- a project that tests the implementation of food-is-medicine programs to reduce health vulnerability in the Mississippi Delta. Her findings have been published in the American Journal of Public Health. In partnership with the Massachusetts legislature’s office, Dr. Robinson, is the Chief Report Editor of a maternal health report that has been recognized as laying the blueprint for the landmark 2024 Momnibus bill (Bill H.4999). Lastly, she currently resides in the Greater Boston area with her husband and son.
