Recruit, Hire, Retain and Promote: Tools to Strengthen Your Workforce
This virtual training will assist behavioral healthcare leaders and supervisors in developing a strategic plan for strengthening their workforce, even when faced with staffing shortages and other service delivery challenges. The content is focused on using evidence-based methods that will help leadership teams prioritize cultural responsiveness, inclusivity, and data-informed decision-making when supporting and growing their workforce. Participants will further learn how to use key process improvement tools to enhance or establish recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion best practices at the organizational level.

The Great Lakes ROTA-RC is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide training and technical assistance (TA) to the rural communities of Health and Human Services Region 5: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Collaboratively, we develop and strengthen community capacity to prevent, treat, and support recovery for opioid use disorder and other mental health and substance use disorders, using a whole family/whole community approach to provide culturally appropriate educational opportunities.
