T-Shirts for Totes program flyer. Wondering what to do with those old t-shirts you haven't worn in a long time? Come join us in making these no-sew, easy and fun tote bags! Upcycling for a great cause-helping our neighbors in need! Totes will be donated to local food pantries.

Empowering our community with the knowledge of the importance of upcycling clothing.  Together we can make a difference!  Fostering creativity by redesigning old clothing allows you to express your creativity and originality while reducing waste and your carbon footprint!

Antrim County MSU Extension and 4-H Program created the T-Shirts for Totes Program with the following goals:

  • T-shirt donation drive
  • Partnering with schools to teach students to upcycle t-shirts into tote bags
    • Create community connection
    • Educate on reducing waste
  • Donate totes to local food pantries
    • Bring awareness about local food insecurities
    • Create an environmentally conscious way to help others
