Food and Community Connections

Food & Community Connections was a national outreach initiative funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to strategically cultivate environments and infrastructures to enable the development of equitable good food systems and healthy communities, with efforts focused on the following goals:

  • Fostering the paradigm shift involved in successfully financing a new generation of good food production;
  • Building the capacity of local governments to support the development of equitable good food systems;
  • Building the capacity of early child care and education programs to expand good food access and awareness for vulnerable children and their families;
  • Promoting internal and external connections linking and enhancing the work of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Food & Community grantees.
