Job Purpose

The Agronomy and Seed Sales Intern will assist the Product & Operations Manager and the DF
Sales Team in all facets of the DF Seeds business in Michigan. The candidate will assist with a
variety of tasks associated with testing and selecting new wheat, soybeans and corn varieties,
learn the seed production process from field production through shipping, and work with the
sales team to learn the sales process. This is a paid internship of $17 to $20 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in organizing, establishing, maintaining, and evaluating field research plots.
Ride along with Product & Operations Manager and the DF Sales Team to provide
customer support for product performance throughout the state.
Aid in planning and hosting plot tours at the plots throughout the state.
Compile observation data using Microsoft 365 programs.
Assist in upkeep of the plots throughout the state.
Work with dealers and customers to place field signs.
Perform internal field inspections of all soybean and wheat seed fields.
Assist in marketing efforts on behalf of the brand for sales promotion.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in agronomy, agricultural business,
or related field of study.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Flexible hours and/or extended hours may be required.
Strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work without supervision.
Give and receive feedback to collaborate with others.
