Summary

As a Nursery Retail Manager at Bordine's, you will oversee the daily operations of our nursery department while ensuring the highest standards of plant care and customer service. This role is vital to our mission of providing exceptional quality and service to our customers.

Responsibilities

· Manage daily operations of the nursery including staff supervision and scheduling.

· Ensure proper care and maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilizing, and pest management.

· Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels of plants and supplies.

· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with plant selections and gardening advice.

· Train and mentor staff on best practices for plant care and nursery operations.

· Implement safety protocols for heavy lifting and tool usage within the nursery.

Requirements

· Proven experience in nursery management or a similar role within the horticulture industry.

· Strong knowledge of plant identification, care, and growing techniques.

· Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate hand tools safely.

· Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus for equipment maintenance.

· Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
