Spray Technician/Assistant in Training

Educational Requirements:

Previous experience with handling Turfgrass pesticides, but willing to train the qualified candidate.

Pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Science or related field.

Currently have or can obtain an Ohio pesticide license.

Special Requirements:

Be able to read and understand labels.

Able to lift 50 pounds.

Able to operate any type of machinery dealing with pesticide or fertilizer applications. This includes walk spraying, backpack spraying, boom spraying, rotary and drop spreading.

Basic Turfgrass mathematic skills.

Able to accurately calibrate a sprayer and spreader.

Grass identification is a plus.

Double Eagle Club is a private golf course located in Galena, OH which is approximately 25 miles north of Columbus. Double Eagle was designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and opened in 1992. Double Eagle is a 27- hole facility with a driving range and practice area. The spray technician is a vital role in keeping Double Eagle one of the best conditioned golf courses in the country.
