Staff Forester 

Green Timber Consulting Foresters, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill staff forester positions. Available positions will be based out of our Arnheim (16 miles south of Houghton) and Newberry office locations. Successful applicants will be expected to perform a wide variety of field forestry tasks with emphasis on forest inventory, timber sale preparation, and the development of forest management plans. Timber sale administration will be a minor component of this position. These are full-time positions with the majority of work responsibilities occurring within a two-hour drive of the assigned office location. However, occasional projects will require overnight travel for one to three weeks per assignment.

Seasonal Field Forester 

Green Timber Consulting Foresters, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill seasonal field forester positions. Available positions will be based out of our Arnheim (16 miles south of Houghton) and Newberry office locations. Successful applicants will be expected to perform several field forestry tasks with emphasis on forest inventory, timber marking, and timber sale preparations. This is a limited term position from approximately May-August 2025 with the possibility to extend the employment term based on the successful applicant’s availability and performance.
