Summer Gardener

I have a summer job opening for a student familiar with flower gardening. The position is flexible hours, but I expect the student to put in approximately 16 hours a week, generally four hours at a time.  For the months of June, July & August.  Job may continue into the autumn months if student works out. 

 

Pay is $15/hour. Weather permitting. Independent work.  The student will be under contract and receive a 1099 at the end of the year. 

 

I expect student to check in via text when arriving and leaving.  Take photo shots of work that’s been accomplished. Need a highly trustworthy individual. 

 

The job is reclaiming a large perennial flower garden that was planted 40 years ago, but has been neglected for several years. Student must be able to differentiate between weeds/grass and flowers. Areas that are cleared will be replanted and mulched. Job includes shopping for plants and student may offer creative input.
