SUMMARY
The Landscape Designer meets with prospective clients to assess their landscaping needs, gathers relevant project information, and develops customized landscape designs using CAD, LandFX, and related software. This role also supports the company’s snow removal operations during the winter season.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Meet with prospective customers at Summit or on-site to introduce services and gather information needed to assess and estimate landscaping needs.
· Create landscape designs and plans using CAD, LandFX, or related software, incorporating sketches, elevations, and rendered plans.
· Develop designs that align with client budgets and project timelines.
· Interpret design drawings and convert them into detailed proposals, including all supporting documentation, material lists, cost estimates, and invoicing.
· Present designs, estimates, and material selections to clients in a timely and professional manner.
· Coordinate delivery or pickup of materials and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
· Coordinate schedules with subcontractors and vendors as needed to ensure timely project completion.
· Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
· Perform snow removal duties during the winter season, including all related responsibilities.
· Adjust work schedule as needed to meet business demands.
· Maintain reliable attendance, contribute ideas for process improvement, and uphold quality standards.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Experience with CAD, LandFX, or similar design software.
· Demonstrated design experience and capability.
· Knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, and construction materials preferred.
· Valid driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions, including extreme cold.
· Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
· Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds (e.g., bags of salt, snow removal equipment).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
