2019 Rain Bird Engineering Concept of the Year Award

Dr. Lu's Apple Harvest and Infield Sorting Technology has been selected to receive the 2019 Rain Bird Engineering Concept of the Year Award.

Dr. Lu along with Dr. Anand Pothula (Dr. Lu's former postdoc who is now working at Southern Queensland University in Australia), Dr. Zhao Zhang (Dr. Lu's postdoc who is still working with him), Mr. Mario VanDyke (President of Precise Manufacturing, Inc. in Casnovia, MI, whose company was their collaborating partner on the project helping them build the platform), will be presented with the 2019 Rain Bird Engineering Concept of the Year Award on July 10th 2019. They are receiving this award for their submission of Apple Harvest and Infield Sorting Technology.
