Come tour the MSU wheat variety trials near Richville

Farmers and agribusiness professionals are invited to check out the 2011 wheat variety trials on June 30.

On Thursday, June 30, local MSU Extension educators will host a tour of the MSU wheat variety trials near Richville. The day will start at 8:30 AM at the Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center with pancakes and coffee.

After breakfast, a brief program will be provided reviewing current wheat research projects, insect and disease updates, and the upcoming wheat referendum vote. The tour will then be moved from the Research and Extension Center to the variety plots for comparison and observation of over 70 wheat varieties.

No need to RSVP, just show up. Contact the Saginaw County MSU Extension office at 989-758-2500 with any questions.
