Dr. Jeffrey Swada recognized with international award
FSHN's Dr. Jeffrey Swada chosen as a 2019 IFT Emerging Leader.
Dr. Jeffrey Swada -- Assistant Professor, Director of Food Science, and Academic Advisor in the Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition – was named a recipient of the 2019 Emerging Leaders Network Award by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
These words were conveyed in a letter from the IFT 2018-2019 President Michele Perchonok, PhD, CFS:

You are impacting our profession and future generations with your contributions, and are helping to ensure a safe and sustainable global food supply. The award includes full registration for this year’s IFT Conference as well as the pre-conference Emerging Leader Network (ELN) program, 5 nights hotel accommodations, individual recognition at the Awards Ceremony and through all IFT communication channels, 3 mentoring sessions with an IFT Fellow or member of the Board of Directors, and the opportunity to serve as a 2020 ELN Peer Mentor.
