First reports of late blight in Connecticut and Maine for 2011
Reports confirm tomatoes from greenhouse production in Connecticut and Maine are infected with late blight.
Late blight has been confirmed on tomatoes from greenhouse production in Connecticut and Maine. The reports were confirmed on the new potato and tomato late blight research project website, where reports are updated as they occur throughout the country. In addition, the seed confirmation for Michigan is reported on the website.
The source of the inoculum in Connecticut may have been from potato seed brought into the greenhouse that subsequently infected the tomato plants, but the source has not been confirmed for the other occurrence in Maine.
