Michigan State University Extension, in partnership with University of Florida IFAS Extension and Purdue University Extension, invites individuals interested in environmental stewardship to take part in the “Choices for Sustainable Living” book club series this fall. This engaging and interactive virtual program creates space for meaningful conversations about sustainability, community, and everyday actions that support a healthier planet.

Based on the “Choices for Sustainable Living” book developed by Ecochallenge.org, this eight-week series runs on Thursday evenings from 6–7:30 p.m. ET, beginning September 17 and continuing through November 5, 2026. Each week, participants will explore a different sustainability topic and share insights with others nationwide.

This interactive discussion series is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity to engage in thoughtful conversation, connect with others, and take personal and collective steps toward a more sustainable future.

Registration and cost

The cost to participate is $50, which includes access to all eight sessions and a free eco-friendly e-book delivered to the email address used at registration. Participants who prefer a printed version of the book can purchase a discounted copy after they register for the sessions.

Due to the discussion-based participatory nature of the program, attendees are encouraged to commit to the full 90 minutes each week without interruptions to ensure a rewarding experience for everyone. No recordings will be available, so live participation is essential.
