Learn all about chestnuts at the Chestnut Harvest Picnic, August 17

Join the Midwest Chestnut Producers Council and Michigan State University Extension for the annual Harvest Picnic.

Join the Midwest Chestnut Producers Council for the annual Harvest Picnic on Aug. 27, 2024. The event will feature a tour of Lee and Verna Peck’s farm near Battle Creek, Michigan. The Pecks will share their experience producing chestnuts. Michigan State University Extension faculty will also be on hand to discuss topics of interest. 

This event is free for Midwest Chestnut Producer Council members in good standing, and $50 for nonmembers payable cash or check at the event. Membership forms and dues may also be handled at the event for those wishing to join. Registration is required and is open through Aug. 14.

The Council will provide lunch and beverages. Please bring a dish to pass, a folding chair and any additional preferred beverages. This event will be held outside, so please plan accordingly. Additional details will be provided to registrants as the date approaches.
