As the 2026-27 academic year begins, the School of Planning, Design and Construction would like to welcome our new undergraduate academic advisor, Samantha Sliwa, to our school community!

Samantha has been proudly working at MSU since 2018, previously advising for the Broad College of Business and the Department of Psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and a Master of Science degree in adult and higher education with an emphasis in student affairs from Northern Illinois University.

Samantha loves to work with students and is known to be their cheerleader. She will cheer her students on every step of the way! Her favorite thing about working with undergraduate students is having the ability to meet unique individuals every day. Samantha really finds joy in learning about the talents, passions, and hobbies of any student that she meets with. During her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and two young boys, watching television, reading, and walking her dogs on local trails in the area.

Already a Spartan, Samantha is now a Spartan Built to Lead! SPDC is happy to welcome her and excited for another excellent year!
