Scholarships available to attend the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo
Join fellow food producers at the 2025 Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo. Scholarship applications are now being accepted for first time attendees.
The Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo (GLEXPO) is an annual event that draws thousands of farmers from Michigan and beyond to Grand Rapids, Michigan, each December. GLEXPO is the premier show to “Connect, Innovate and Grow.” Applications are now open for scholarships that provide farmers and producers with registration and/or transportation to attend GLEXPO on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
At GLEXPO, you can connect with over 4,500 fruit, vegetables, farm market and greenhouse individuals and over 400 industry-leading companies. You will learn how to implement the newest innovations on your farm through educational sessions, both production and business related. You will grow your thinking and your business by applying new techniques and knowledge to problems that are limiting your potential.
Preference will be given to farmers and producers who have not attended GLEXPO in the past. Assistance providers from community organizations that serve farmers are also welcome to apply. The scholarships are grant-funded through a collaboration of the Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems, Michigan State University Extension and the Michigan Food and Farming System.
After the short application is submitted, applicants will be notified of their award by Nov. 5 and be asked to accept and register by Nov. 14. Accepted participants will be required to attend the first session of the day hosted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development at GLEXPO, a networking lunch with other participants and Michigan State University team members and complete a post-conference survey. A pre-conference virtual orientation session will be optional for participants.
