Join Michigan State University Extension field crops educators as we host a Stored Grain and Soil Fumigation Meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. via Zoom. We will have an in-person proctored site at the Huron County MSU Extension office, 690 N. Port Crescent St, Bad Axe, MI 48413. This event has no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required.

During the first hour of this webinar, Ed Parsons with the Michigan State University Department of Medicine will discuss how to correctly and safely use respirators. This includes picking the correct type of respirator and how to safely test it. The second hour will be a reminder of the different pests we are aiming to control when using fumigants in grain bins and with soil applications.
Two fumigation restricted use pesticide credits are available for this training. By completing this class, you will earn enough recertification credits to renew your private or commercial applicator fumigation standard and be able to purchase and apply fumigants in Michigan.
