Vegetable ‘Ag Ideas’ will focus on pillars of production for 2026
Join the MSU Extension vegetable team on a webinar series dedicated to key production factors affecting vegetables.
The Michigan State University Extension vegetable team is proud to announce a slate of webinar topics through the MI Ag Ideas to Grow With conference this coming February. This set of talks will discuss an overview of growing information for many annual and some perennial vegetable species and deliver take-home messages for key plant health issues commonly faced when growing them
Monday, Feb. 23, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: A Primer for Pumpkins – Salta Mambetova will profess profound practicalities for pumpkin production.
Tuesday, Feb. 24, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: A How-To for Herbs – Ben Phillips will provide hot takes about herbal handiwork.
Thursday, Feb. 26, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Top Tomato Tips – Ben Werling will share tips and trick for tons of totally terrific tomatoes.
Friday, Feb. 27, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: The Basics of Brassicas – Chris Galbraith will cover the crucial components of crucifers.
The sessions are offered virtually for free. However, registration is required.
Register for MI Ag Ideas to Grow With
The 2026 MI Ag Ideas to Grow With conference will be held virtually Feb. 23 – March 5. The program encompasses many aspects of the agricultural industry and offers a full array of educational sessions for farmers and homeowners interested in food production and other agricultural endeavors. While there is no cost to participate, attendees must register to receive the necessary Zoom links. Registrants can attend as many sessions as they would like and are also able to jump around between tracks. Restricted use pesticide (RUP) and certified crop adviser (CCA) credits may be offered for several of the sessions.
