College of Agriculture & Natural Resources School of Packaging

Student organizations provide an many opportunities for students. By working in student organizations, students gain experience in working in and leading groups, planning activities, and evaluating the results. Most student organizations also provide links to similar adult organizations. There are currently two student organizations active at the School of Packaging: the MSU Packaging Society and the Packaging Graduate Association.

Pi Kappa Gamma (PKG)

Pi Kappa Gamma, formerly known as the Michigan State University Packaging Society (MSUPS), was rebranded in 2026 to reflect its identity as MSU Packaging's Club. While our name and identity have changed, we remain committed to connecting packaging students with industry professionals and providing opportunities for professional development, leadership, networking, and community involvement.

As Pi Kappa Gamma (PKG), at Michigan State University, our mission is to connect students within the School of Packaging and with professionals across the packaging industry. We aim to provide students with opportunities to grow professionally, develop as leaders, build meaningful relationships, and become more involved within the packaging community.

We typically meet every other Monday and host a variety of companies to show students the vast opportunities available within the packaging industry, as well as various social and networking events for students to connect with their peers. PKG offers an excellent opportunity for students to further develop their professional network and build strong, lasting relationships with fellow Michigan State Packaging students.
