Melanie Leonard
Dr. Melanie Leonard (Body) is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University. Melanie received her PhD degree from the University of Tours (France) in 2013, and was a postdoctoral fellow and lab manager at the University of Missouri (2014-2017) and University of Toledo (2017-2020). She joined Michigan State University in Spring 2021. Her research focuses mainly on plant-insect interactions, more specifically on interactions involving endophagous insects such as leaf-mining and gall-inducing insects in apple, grape, and blueberry.
