Ethan Wachendorf

Ethan Wachendorf is a master's student in the Plant Pathology graduate program within the Department of Plant, Soil, and Microbial Sciences at MSU. Ethan is researching the seasonal physiological response of northern red oaks to infection by Bretziella fagacearum, the oak wilt causing pathogen. Additional work includes an evaluation of the capacity of northern red oak stumps to act as a court of infection and an investigation of volatile organic compounds associated with beetle vectors integral to the above ground spread of oak wilt.
