Jonathan Althouse
Biography
Jon Althouse is an instructor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering (BAE) at Michigan State University. In addition, to his teaching and outreach responsibilities, he is the program coordinator of Electrical Technology certificate program through the Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT). The Electrical Technology program provides electrical apprenticeship training with an emphasis on residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial wiring. The Electrical Technology program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and the State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes.
Throughout his career, Jon Althouse has worked on National Electrical Code training, energy efficiency and conservation techniques, motor control and automatons and electrical wiring for agricultural producers and businesses. He is a licensed Master Electrician, Electrical Contractor, Electrical Code Instructor and Energy Auditor.
