Ramjee P. Ghimire
Bio
Dr. Ramjee P. Ghimire earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University with a focus on international agricultural development and agricultural extension. He has been involved in multidisciplinary research, training and outreach on food safety, animal health, community empowerment and sustainable agricultural development around the world.
Outreach
Dr. Ghimire’s outreach is rooted in international agricultural development, with extensive work in Asia, Africa and the United States. His efforts focus on food safety, animal health, community empowerment and sustainable agricultural development. Through MSU's World Knowledge and Technology Access Program (WorldTAP), he helps lead global short courses on food safety and zoonotic diseases, supporting capacity building for professionals from around the world.
In addition to his global work, Dr. Ghimire contributes to initiatives that promote a culture of access and belonging within the Department of Animal Science. He also volunteers with national and international professional organizations, including his leadership role at the Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas, to advance community-focused agricultural improvement and professional development.
