Rekha Bhandari
Bio
Rekha Bhandari is a Ph.D. student in Rufus Isaacs’ lab. Her research focuses on monitoring and managing insects in agroecosystems by using existing integrated pest management (IPM) tools and developing new IPM strategies. She is particularly interested in insect behavior, insect ecology and chemical ecology. Her doctoral research examines insect vector dynamics in the grape sour rot complex and develops IPM tactics for managing the disease in vineyards. She also contributes to outreach and Extension efforts by sharing information about insect pests with growers and other stakeholders through educational videos, fact sheets and hands-on activities.
