Environmental Characteristics of Creativity
Competency A5. Examine and explain careers in AFNR to match student interests to develop a career plan.
Description
The environment plays a critical role in an individual's ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation. An information rich environment, ample meeting times, continuous process, multiple perspectives in a group, clearly defined problem, and challenging task support creativity and innovation. On the other hand, incorrect problem definition, judging too quickly, stopping after the first idea, lack or support, and hostility to sharing knowledge dampen creativity and innovation.
