Optimal Corn Relative Maturity Map

  • This map shows the corn hybrid relative maturity to maximize yield, given the typical planting time in each Michigan county. The map was generated based on 17 years of corn hybrid testing (2006-2022) at 10 locations across the state.
  • Longer maturities are recommended if planting early for your area (e.g., late April in the south) and shorter maturities are recommended for planting late (June).
