Plant Physiology
Competency C1. Compare and describe agricultural plants based on properties, functions, and physiological needs.
Competency D4. Demonstrate knowledge of biochemical and cellular processes as they relate to AFNR systems.
Description
Plant physiology refers to the functions of specific plant parts. This can include concepts such as specific organ function, energy flow, growth, disease resistance, and nutrition. Relate plant growth, management, and harvesting strategies in response to stages of cellular respiration in plants. Use plant growth regulators (tropism) to predict desired responses from plants.
