Shade trees (maple, oak, elm, etc.)

Whole tree and Surroundings

Take photos of the entire plant and its surroundings so experts can see the overall shape, health, and growing conditions.

Take photos of the tree trunk, trunk flare, and any mulch around the base.  These photos give important clues about planting depth, mulching practices, and trunk damage that may be causing tree stress.

Take photos of the canopy to show where problems are occurring in the tree.  These pictures make it easier to see if damage is limited to certain branches or spread throughout the tree. It also helps identify areas with thinning, discoloration, or dieback.
