Storage Temperatures and Humidity
Competency C5. Demonstrate proper methods to harvest, handle, and store crops.
Description
The temperature and humidity that crops are stored at varies with the type of crop being produced. A discussion of storage temperatures and humidity could include cool storage, ambient temperature storage, high humidity, low humidity, and any combination thereof. A discussion of temperature and humidity could also differentiate between the common differences between the storage of different crop types, such as flower, vegetable, fruit, or grain production.
