Water Quality Management
Competency D3. Evaluate and develop solutions for AFNR impacts.
Description
Water quality management can include preventative steps as well as solutions to an already existing problem. Some examples of preventative water quality management are cover crops, buffer strips, and grass waterways to help prevent excess runoff into waterways. Additionally, if there is an already existing water quality problem, water can be amended by adjusting the pH or other nutrients or minerals, or adding liquid fertilizers.
