Identifying Common Barriers to Land Access Survey Results Slides
MIFarmLink and Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) are collaborating with farmers and technicians through a SARE Partnership grant to identify common issues that hold up land transfer deals in Michigan. The grant project seeks to help identify not only barriers, but which resources would be most useful to farmers wishing to acquire or pass on farms/farmland. Tools in development include educational videos, presentations, content for ongoing farmer and technician training, and a compendium of land transfer resources.
The Identifying Common Barriers to Land Access Survey was the first effort of the grant to begin identifying barriers and resource needs. The video provides a summary of the survey results. A handout document of the video slides is also available for download.
