PFAS – Current Knowledge and Applications for Agricultural Production
Oct. 22-24, 2023
Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, East Lansing, MI 48824
The 2023 Center for PFAS Research 2nd Annual Symposium will focus on the theme of PFAS: Current Knowledge and Applications for Food Production. The symposium will allow participants to exchange scientific information and discoveries while also discussing PFAS contamination in agricultural systems, transport into crops and livestock, remediation, policy, and emerging issues of PFAS. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about new skills and technologies that may influence the scientific direction, management strategies, and supply chain sectors of PFAS contamination and solutions.
This symposium is a collaborative effort between the MSU Center for PFAS Research, University of Maine, Maine Farmland Trust, and USDA ARS. Attendees will include farmers, researchers, Extension professionals and educators, public and private industry professionals, regulators, scientists, and students to establish a network of national and international collaborators, stakeholders, and communities. The interactive symposium will initiate collaborations and broaden engagement between PFAS research efforts in Maine, Michigan, nationally, and internationally; promote research and demonstration projects between farmers and researchers; and increase the flow of information between stakeholders and regulators to establish a cross-sector national network around PFAS contamination research, response, and policy.
The 2nd annual symposium will take place at Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. A group room block has been created with lodging available for $125 per night.
A second room block has been set up at The Graduate East Lansing with a lodging rate of $119 per night.
