ANR Events Management System (EMS)

The Event Management System is an online portal that allows event organizers to create registration systems for events. MSU Extension staff and CANR faculty and staff can create and build events from templates or by duplicating existing or old events. Events are not public until after review and activation by ANR Event Services. Once an event meets the applicable requirements and standards, ANR Event Services will make the webpage URL live so it is accessible to the public. People can register through the public webpage once the URL becomes active.

This customizable online registration system has many features, including:

  • Ability to accept cash, check, credit card or wire transfer and send invoices
  • Track participants and payments
  • Collect participant civil rights and demographic information
  • Group registrations
  • Pay event expenses and processing reimbursements
  • Complete event cost analysis if income and expenses are run through Event Services

Logging into EMS

You will need to use your MSU NetID and password to access the ANR Events Management System.

  • You will only need to use the portion of your email prior to the @ symbol to login to the system.

Helpful Tips to Know about EMS

Duplicate Events

Have you created an event in the past and have an upcoming event that is the same? Instead of creating a new event, you can duplicate your event in EMS! Simply duplicate the event and update the information to reflect any new dates, times, locations, organizers, or additional information as necessary.

Activation Review

Once you have created an event, MSU Extension ANR Event Services will review your event prior to activating it; the public will not be able to access your event until the event is marked active by MSU Extension ANR Event Services. Every event in EMS goes through a review process before the link becomes live. Allow at least one week for your event to move through the activation process. This allows your registration page to be tested and reviewed to make sure everything is working and ready for public viewing. Use this Activation Checklist prior to requesting activation of your event in the Events Management System to help expedite the activation process.

Group Registration Feature

Group registration in ANR Events Management System is a helpful tool when registering multiple individuals from the same family or organization. Group registration allows you to collect information for a primary contact, such as a parent of multiple youth or administrative assistant, while also collecting registration information for other participants, such as multiple children or members of an organization. This tool allows you to anonymously collect demographic information for each participant before moving to the next participant’s registration.

Group registration must be requested before it can be integrated in your event registration. If you are interested in utilizing or learning more about group registration, please contact MSU Extension ANR Event Services.
