Dean's Office
The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources translates basic and applied research in the areas of food, energy and environment into real-life solutions better than any other place in the country. The Office of the Dean provides direction and guidance to our faculty, staff and students to reach those goals.
Office of Academic and Student Affairs
The CANR provides undergraduate students an academically challenging environment where they will put their knowledge into practice on campus, in Michigan and around the globe. The Office of Academic and Student Affairs serves as the home base for our students. It’s where they seek guidance on academic matters, student activities and careers. It’s also where our new students find out more about the CANR.
Office of Budget and Finance
The CANR Budget and Finance office provides management for budgeting, finance and human resources. (VPN needed to access www.canrbfo.msu.edu.)
Office of Culture, Access and Belonging
The mission of the Office of Culture, Access and Belonging is that it will serve as a resource that faculty, staff and graduate students within the units of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) to develop intentional efforts to recruit and retain diverse faculty, staff and graduate students to enhance teaching, research and extension.
To this end, the Office of Culture, Access and Belonging works with relevant departments to recruit diverse students, faculty, and staff; to support the professional development of members of our community from diverse and historically underserved backgrounds; and to represent and advocate for diverse representation in academic and professional fields in agriculture and natural resources.
CANR Advancement
Alumni and donors in the CANR alumni have a positive impact on society and are a force for good, individually and collectively. They are essential partners in growing our capabilities for research, teaching and outreach. The CANR Advancement Office is the meeting point for our more than 65,000 alumni and donors.
International Programs
CANR international programs support global engagement, cooperation and collaboration as part of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), AgBioResearch and MSU Extension at Michigan State University. Our international programs encompass diverse areas of agricultural development and natural resources programs contributing to enhancing agricultural productivity, providing food and nutritional security, and supporting the livelihoods of rural and urban communities.
Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Information Technology
The ANR Technology Services Team supports technologies that foster an effective learning environment. ANR Tech Services provides excellent service to our students, faculty members, administrators and support staff. ANR Tech Services also encourages progressive use of technology is critical to the overall growth of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, MSU Extension and AgBioResearch.
Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Communications & Marketing
ANR Communications & Marketing and MSU Extension Communications support communications initiatives. These teams inform clients, stakeholders, legislators and the general public about their work, or when planning and managing a workshop, conference or other event. They also work to address multiple audiences and is experienced in how to budget and keep appropriate records for grant-funded and general fund projects and events.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Team supports faculty and staff in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Michigan State University (MSU) Extension
MSU Extension helps people improve their lives by bringing the vast knowledge resources of MSU directly to individuals, communities and businesses. For more than 100 years, MSU Extension has helped grow Michigan’s economy by equipping Michigan residents with the information that they need to do their jobs better, raise healthy and safe families, build their communities and empower our children to dream of a successful future.
Michigan State University (MSU) AgBioResearch
MSU AgBioResearch encompasses the work of more than 300 scientists in seven colleges at MSU, including several in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
These researchers, in on-campus laboratories and at 13 outlying research centers across the state, investigate topics that range from agricultural production, alternative energy and biofuel production, food safety and environmental stewardship to childhood obesity, community development and the quality of life of Michigan youth and families.
