4-H On the Move: Detroit Cultural Connection Camp is a three-day spring break day camp experience for middle and high school youth (ages 13-19) that helps them build cultural awareness, empathy, and a deeper understanding of Detroit’s diverse communities. The highlight of the program is a full-day guided bus tour through Metro-Detroit with hands-on cultural activities and community engagement opportunities. This experience is supported by a pre-tour preparation day, focused on helping youth view the world through a cultural lens, and a post-tour reflection day, where youth process what they have learned and consider how to create positive, inclusive change in their own communities.

When: March 30th-April 1st, 2026

Who: Youth ages 13-19 (as of Jan 1, 2026)

Where: Stationary Camp sessions and bus tour pick up and drop off will take place at the Jefferson Barnes Community Vitality Center (32150 Dorsey St, Westland, MI 48186 )

  • Full-day Metro Detroit bus tour
