Feeling tired, overwhelmed, or isolated because of your diabetes? The Diabetes PATH workshop gives you the tools to feel better. You will learn how to:
- Use tools to manage the symptoms of diabetes
- Be active for better health
- Make healthier food choices
- Communicate with family, friends, and healthcare providers about your diabetes
Program benefits may include:
- Lowered blood sugar levels
- Reduced nerve pain
- Better management of feelings of depression, anger, and frustration
- Increased physical activity which can result in higher energy levels
- Better quality of life
This workshop is free for Michigan residents. This class is being sponsored by the St Louis/Alma Lions Club of Michigan. Family members, friends, and caregivers are encouraged to attend with you.
The in-person workshop meets for 2 ½ hours, once a week for 6 weeks. When you register for the workshop, you agree to attend all six sessions. Please let your facilitators know if you are going to be absent
