The Farming for the Future Field Day 2025 will provide a full day of information for commercial tree fruit growers and vegetable growers.   Experts from Michigan State University, USDA, Washington State University, the Washington Tree Fruit Commission, Storage Control Systems and Techmark Inc., will present on various topics such as managing sunburn, considerations for fruit and vegetable storage, produce quality, and advances in field automation. 

There will also be demonstrations of spray drone applications in pumpkins, an update for as asparagus harvesting prototype, and an autonomous robotic apple harvester which is currently being developed and tested by a joint Michigan State University and USDA team through a Specialty Crop Research Initiative grant.  Presenters will provided indoor and outdoor presentations and hands-on experiences with demonstrations in the field.  

Include in the days activities will be several exhibitors on hand to talk with attendees about their farming needs related to equipment, supplies etc.   

This event is free, but registration is required and and includes a catered lunch.
