Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp 2025

Calling all 8–12 year olds interested in learning how to fish and protect our Great Lakes!  

All campers will receive a t-shirt, fully loaded tackle box, snacks, and more.

On July 16-17 from 9-3pm, MSU Extension, Saginaw County 4-H, Michigan Sea Grant, Project FISH, and many local partners are hosting the Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp at Haithco Park, Saginaw.

Youth will learn about knot tying, tackle crafting, casting, aquatic ecology, angler ethics and more!

Not a current Saginaw 4-H member but want to attend camp? Enroll in 4-H for FREE. See below 4-H enrollment details.

Date: July 16 -17, 2025
Location: Haithco Park, Saginaw
Cost: $40 per camper for both days.  Teen Counselors free.
Ages: 8-12 as of January 1
Camp T-Shirts: Any registrations received after June 27, 2025 will NOT receive a t-shirt. Registration must be approved and paid by June 27 to receive a t-shirt.

NO REFUNDS will be provided except for camp cancellation due to the weather or other circumstances.

Registration is not final or approved without payment.  Please make sure payment is received to ensure your spot at camp.

Teens Needed - Help at Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp

Teens, do you like fishing, teaching youth, exploring the Great Lakes, and/or having fun?

Do you need volunteer hours?

Then consider applying to be a counselor or volunteering for the Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp. Counselors can gain service hours from this volunteer experience. Open to youth ages 14-19 as of January 1.

You do not need to have fishing experience to be a counselor.

What will you do as a teen counselor at camp?

  • Assist with casting/fishing
  • Prepare materials
  • Transition campers
  • Pass out snacks
  • Help with knot tying/tackle making

You can volunteer for one or both days – whatever works for your schedule!
