College of Agriculture & Natural Resources Department of Forestry

All active Hybrid MS students have access to a fellowship of up to $1,000 to help defray the costs of attending a professional meeting. We encourage students to attend a national or state-level Society of American Foresters conference. We feel this will provide the most benefit to student development because it typically has a critical mass of MSU faculty, staff, and alumni in attendance. Other potential meetings include International Society of Arborists, Association of Consulting Foresters,  Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and Rising Professionals. Students can use these funds anytime between completion of FOR 810 and graduation.
