Sept 30 - Manuscript Submission Deadline for Special Issue on telecoupling/metacoupling in the international journal Geography and Sustainability (IF = 8.0). All manuscripts go through the normal peer-review process, and the acceptance and publication of the papers in the special issue will be made when each paper is ready. After all the papers are published, they will be compiled into the special issue.

Aug 9-16 - International Summer School - “Frontiers in Telecoupling and Metacoupling Research for Addressing Global Sustainability Challenges”. Instructors are relevant experts, including members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, as well as authors of papers in Science and Nature family journals and PNAS. In addition to giving lectures, the experts can provide feedback and guidance on participants' research projects. The school will be hybrid – in person at Beijing Normal University (a top university in China) or online (e.g., via Zoom). Deadline to apply for participating in the Summer School’s team-based research projects: May 15, 2026.
